Been around a while, just never took this step.
Have two Ranchero's, a 75 500, 351M, auto, the usual. A little rust, but a strong truck. I named it the Beast as it's my "work" truck for hauling stuff around, etc. It has 76,000 actual miles and runs like stink fast.
Latest is a 77, 351M, auto, and etc.
No rust, had a restoration started, they went a long way, but the interior was sort of "drab", some minor issues due to their rushing to get it ready for sale.
Has a new, fair base/clear paint job in bright red (trying to contact the previous owner to get the brand and color they used), new brakes, new tires, new wheels, lots of money spent by the previous owner.
I am redoing the interior in satin black, redid the dash, have new bucket seats and center console on the way. Setting in the shop is a Holley Dominator 4 barrel intake and Holley 600CFM carb, Pro-Comp electronic distributor and the "bling-bling" valve covers, etc.
Once the motor is done, a new set of dual exhaust goes on.
72,000 actual miles.
I also have a 77 T-Bird base model with a 302, have all Edelbrock intake and 600CFM, distributor and bling bling waiting to go on it. New Eagle Torque Thruster wheels, etc.
It has actual 14,500 miles on it, a real survior, just like new, no rust.
I treated both of the latest with the same MotorCraft Rust Inhibitor that Ford requires for all warranty collision repairs. It is made by Automotive International and they market it as ValuGard.
These two will NOT ever have corrosion/rust issues.
