I am looking for parts for my motor.New carb, gaskets, chrome anything. Do I have to buy items designated for Vin H ? Where is a good place to purchase? I was told it had a holly 4 barrel carb on it , how can I tell ? Is there a place where I can get diagrams of this motor ? Thanks for your help! |

I have a 73 ranchero with a 351c and the best place i know to get parts is summit racing, and dearborne classics. they will probably have chrome parts and as far as engine codes i think as long as you tell them its a 351c they should have no problem getting you parts. i dont know were you can get engine diagrams but you might talk to some machine shops for extra advice, i hope this helps you |

The H in your VIN means your car was built with a 351 Cleveland 2 barrel, rated at 177 hp; almost all parts are interchangeable between the 2 and 4 barrel, but not the carb of course.
There should be a data tag on the front right corner of the intake manifold, behind the rad hose, below the coil; this is the build tag for the engine. If its still there, that will tell also tell you what engine you have.
You can still get a lot of parts from almost any major auto parts store, like Napa or Summit or Pep boys, but sometimes you will need to special order, since they don't keep a lot of Cleveland stuff on the shelves-there isn't that many of us. Good Luck.
