The PI model will handle better the the civilian CV. There is bigger sway bars available from ADDCO. So you can upgrade a civilian or PI models. Concerning the PI models the only thing is they idle a lot. So the mileage will not reflect the actual hours the car was in service. I have a 04 CV. I put 2 1/4 inch pipe and turbo mufflers from the convertors back. It does rumble on acceleration. But at low or highway speeds very quiet. After exhaust work it averages 17-18 MPG. Runs a lot better. I am very pleased with the car. Their are some nice low mileage CV, GM out there. |

Sorry about being tardy but if you want a good panther you should look into a Grand Marquis ULTIMATE LS. I have an 05 with the handling in performance package it's got front struts the rear air Springs 3.27 curious you electronic throttle body and I swear to you is the finest vehicle I've ever driven. I was in the market for a crown Victoria but after I drove this ultimate LS I Knew this was something special. I hadn't a clue about the HPP package was until after I tester of my mercury and noticed how much faster it was because of the the 3.27 ratio. After I test drove it I went home and did more research and found out about the HPP package. I knew the dealership I was getting it from a small used car lot had no clue as well so in the next morning I rushed back to that little dealership and purchase the car. just recently bought a 2002 Crown Victoria LX sport black dark charcoal interior bucket seats center shifter all the cool stuff I still like my 2005 Ultimate LS better. The leather is softer it shifts smooth it's just an all-around better car. This is totally my opinion. And keep in mind my crown Victoria it's nice its gets more attention than I want for sure. I purchased it with 33,000 miles five months ago the paint on it looks brand-new and it's the original paint. With all that being said my mercury is the newer body style after 2003 my crown Victoria the 2002 is the last year of the older body style so that might be why am experiencing a better feel from the newer one. All in all both great cars just thought I would share my experience with you. What did you end up getting? |

As far as "fun" goes what's your idea of fun? Do you want to confuse people with the PI or fly under the radar in the Mercury? Both of my cars are fun to drive. I can tell you my Mercury is funner cuz I enjoy the better performance I get from it but i do get a kick out of the confused looks people have when I roll up behind them in my black Crown Victoria. Lol. And it's just a completely stock LX SPORT. Maybe it's me because I get asked all the time if I am a police officer. ✌🏻️👮🏻🚔🚘🕵🏻 |
