In the process of installing new Air springs in my 2005 grand Marquis and for the life of me cannot get the selinoids to turn and lock into place. Is there some trick I should know about? Or just go with standard Springs? LOL |

Had the same problem with my Vic, first make sure you have new orings to put them back in. Next lube them up really well, I used dielectric grease for mine as I had it handy for the electrical connector. Now you really have to push I had to lay them on the ground and put my upper body wait on them to get them in. The air line is easier to disconnect then you have more leverage putting the solenoids back in. Then just press the air line back into the connector. |

Damn dude why didn't I wait to hear from you cuz I didn't use the new o rings that came with the new air springs and guess what?? When I walked around the corner of my house there it was the rear sitting on the ground just like all the old ones you see in driveways. And you couldn't be more right about how hard it is lying on the ground forcing the selinoid back in.
Have you replaced you front springs yet? |

I have the stock coils in front with some heavy duty shocks running spring assist so air is completely out of mine now (well other than the compressor). |
