I'm new to the forums and I just bought my first vic and first car. I plan on modding it to an extent. Not looking for massive power, just something fun to daily. it's a 2005 cvpi with 78000 miles, dude I bought it off of threw a 4.10 Ford Racing LSD, highflow airfilter, and a tune from Mo's. The tune lets it run on 97 and 83, I have the 97 tune loaded now. As far as what I wanna do with it, My goal is somewhere around 280-290RWHP so It's fun but still dailyable. I've done a fair amount of research over the past few days and I've come up with a list of stuff that I wanna do with it. I'm on a slight budget, so I'm looking for cheaper but still well performing. I go to a tech school and work at a shop so I've got a pretty good amount of resources and experience. Please criticize it and give me feedback I'm open to suggestions.
Exhaust: LT headers, full cat delete, X-pipe (Or I may just leave the stock H-pipe), and swap out the stock mufflers with either Flowmaster 40-series, Flowmaster Outlaws or Thrush mufflers (Idk which one it was but I saw a video of them from exhaust addicts and I liked it). I thought about the resonated marauder exhaust tips as well but I don't know if I like them all that much so I may just find some basic tips to throw on.
Suspension: thought about lowering it but coils are expensive and from what I've heard on the forums you can't cut the springs on the CVPIs So I'm stumped on what to do without breaking the bank. May end up leaving the suspension alone since It seems to ride pretty well other than the blown shock in the back which I'm gonna replace soon.
Throttle body/plenum: either one off of a stang of the same year (if that works) or a BBK 78mm throttle body which supposedly works too
Cam: CMS stage 1. I've seen that you can get some decent lope out of them which I like and maybe some extra power.
Tires: I gotta figure out what I'm gonna do with tires. The ones it came with look like snow tires but they're getting a little low (still pretty good tread but could be better for New England weather). I also wanna get a decent set of all-seasons or summer tires that I can use for 3 seasons out of the year. definitely need suggestions here
Also gonna do a J-mod and a bunch of other cosmetic stuff including black case headlights, marauder lip spoiler, 05 stang 5 spoke wheels, de-badged grille, and maybe an aftermarket tach/ A-pillar mounted gauge cluster. Let me know what's good, what's bad, what could be better, and what I could add.
