If anyone can offer some experience on my following question it will be greatly appreciated. I am wanting to clear 37" tires on my 99' F350 4x4. I was looking at the Fabtech lift kit, however, i am noticing that alot of people piece together lifts and accomplish the same effect for half the cost. I do not do any off-roading, i am a complete street driver.. anywhere from 500 - 1500 miles a week from San Diego to the LA area.
Currently my truck is stock 4x4 hight with the front tilt look going because it is never loaded down. i have talked to off road shops in SD and LA and they see my truck and think i have some $$$ the truth is i got a really lucky deal on the truck and i dont have alot of $$. I am tired of 2wd chevys looking down at my truck! LOL.
I want to know how my driveability will be affected with a 8" lift. How do get the best lift for the price. I think i want dual shocks in front, and full springs in the rear.
well with an f350 you shoudlnt need 8 inch lift to fit 37s but thats beside the point... if you dont have tons of cash id say first get a 3 inch body lift, then a 1.5 or 2 inch leveling spring kit then find out how much farther you have to go to get those tires from there. if its not for offorad you dont need 3 feet of travel stock would be enough. for your situation i would tell you to get a 10 inch body lift if they made em... but if you do it one step at a time you save, unless its suspension lifts dont got one till your sure its the size you need
Thank you for your input! I have been talking with quite a few people... i have finally figured out what to do... i am gonna add a spring pack to the front and crame 35 inch tires and a little triming in the front.
