I have a "rear antilock" light that occasionally comes on. I have an 88 full size Bronco but it does not have anti-lock brakes. Can anyone tell me what this is and if I should do anything about it?
Thanks,
Britt |

i think its also worth adding that next time the light comes on, turnoff the car rightaway and turn it back on. youl probably notice that the light will go away. altleast mine does it every time. |

I´ve got a similar problem.
My trucks rear ABS doesn´t function, the previos owner said that it was the aftermarket brakepads that made it disfunktion, The warning light lights up when I turn on the key but when I start up it shuts off, if the reaar ABS doesn´t work as its supposed it should light up all the time..? Right?
Would I get back the ABS function if I switch back to original brakepads?
Would appreciate if anyone had an answer to my question.
Thanx

I have a 1990 bronco with antilock brakes also my warning lite also come's on but it stays on dealer told I needed to replace speed sensor on rear axle housing. Also found out that due to this problem my cruise control will not funtion either. |

It is just a sensor but its not as dramatic as to effect cruise control. I have this problem and my cruise works fine. The problem is that it is a sensor that can be faulted because of little things like dirt. The most it will effect will be braking at very low speeds for the rear breaks. |
