I am going to get headers, Jet Performance chip, throttle body spacers, camshaft, and possibly high compression ratio pistons for my 5.0. I was looking for an intake which would come out of the hood like the one with the four holes and when u hit the gas the openings open to let air in (what are those called?) cause they will add horsepower (with a supercharger and the other stuff) and they look bad ass. That brings me to another point, maybe a supercharger/ (big ass) intake kit? Any one, anyone? Thanks a lot for the help, im gonna be getting a good bit of money soon and i need something to spend it on.

"Bug Catcher" is what I always heard them called, you can get one from Mr.Gasket that hooks up to your throtle linkage, but it is designed for carbs. call the tech line at JET and tell them what you want to do. they can make recomendations on what works. if you just buy parts without a plan the parts won't work to gether and you will have a expensive motor that runs like crap.also keep in mind to up grade the whole drive train. Lockers and gears will really improve overall performance. Up grade trany so you don't blow it apart also.

Yeah i am getting new gears and lockers, but what should i do now and what should i wait on? I know i need to plan this so it all works together but it wouldn't hurt anything to get the headers and/or Jet Chip. I know i wont need the throttle body spacer with the "bug catcher" but i dont think adding those NOW will affect anything later...? Am i right?

If you get an answer to your question, let me know if you can....I have a 96 F-150 with 5.0 and really don't know what is compatible. Thanks in advance. my email is michiganrn@comcast.net

As far as what parts are you looking to use ?.

Going with a Turbo or Supercharger should not be done with a high Compression Ratio motor, it will not run on 93 octane fuel if you do (Example : if you have a 5.0L at 10.5:1 Ratio) and put a Supercharger on that you better be very low in boost or PSI and I am talking about 2 maybe 3, in a nut shell - you will have to run on 104 or 110 octane all the time above that and the cost to drive on the street daily - Well.

The Trucks motor in question (Most not all) are not Hyd. Roller Motors, they are Hyd.

As far as parts off of a mustang, yes you can, in some cases you will need to change more parts then just one, This is why I ask which part are in question and what are you going to do or trying to do ?, What Perforances level are we talking ?.

I asked the guy I bought it from and he said the same engine only the truck ones are no H.O. I thin thats what he said. I do remember him saying that the plenums are different though.
