I have a 77 F-100 that is 2wd. I want to know where I can find some lift coils. I don't want a large lift, just enough to fit a set of 33x12.5R15 tires on it. The springs are sagging bad so it won't take much to lift it right up.Thanks |

I have a 77 Ford F-150 2W LWB that runs 35in 12.50's on 15X10 rims. Ten years ago I had the suspension lifted by a local shop. They cut off the front crossmember and welded a 4in lift to it. then replaced the coils with coils meant for a 3/4 ton camper special. They also had a new king pin made to allow for the change in caster / camber (don't remember which) . Simple lift blocks in rear. 20,000 miles later ... The same tires still look great with never a realignment. 38in tires could easily work with the present setup. I do a lot of beach driving and I'll tell you this is a great setup for sugar sand. I just bought a 77 4X4 SWB and it sinks in the sand where the 2wd floats. Happy Trails. |
