Hi. I'm changing plugs in my Crown Vic. The plugs I pulled were Autolite APP764. The plugs I'm putting in are Motorcraft SP-493. The problem is that the thread length is much longer aon the MC plug. Does anyone know for sure if it is safe to use the longer thread plugs? It is getting increasingly difficult to find these shorter thread plugs. The APP 764 has been discontinued and most of the listed plugs for the 98 Crown Vic have these longer threads. |
