Hello everyone,

I drive a 2003 Crown Victoria and I've been having a problem with the interior lights. The dome lights are permanently on, even if the car is on. I've been told that this might be a problem with the door sensor, and I have counteracted this problem in the past month and a half (since the problem started) by spraying the area around the hinges with WD-40 or GIBBS lubricant. However, I can't get either of these to work, and the lights remain on permanently. Fortunately the LCM times the lights out some ten minutes after I shut the car off. The interesting thing is that the "DOOR AJAR" light does not remain on, but it doesn't even turn on if the doors are open. The knob to the left of the steering wheel will not turn the dome lights off.

I'm also wondering if this has anything to do with the weather. I live in Northern Michigan, so my car's been dealing with the cold and ice.
