Posted:3/20/2011 18:25 hey guys, i have a 2001 crown vix police interceptor and ive been having a problem for the last 2 years~ i just had the intake replaces cuz it was cracked and now im finding out that ive been backfiring through the intake. signs are now pointing to clogged catalytic converters as the culprit, since everything else just about has been replaced. my question is does my car need catalytic converters?? if not, they are gone.
