THe mount that looks the most suitable for my needs is a transmission hump mount. Have any of you ever drilled into the hump and or can anyone tell me the amount of clearance or how to check how far down i can drill? Eric

Otherwise....jack the car....w/'torch' in hand...crawl under the front end & check it out.... My guess would be about 3 inches in most areas...just a guess....
