Any easy fix I can look for to get my 89 Lincoln Town Car to go in OD Shifts fine to 3rd and will run 70 easy. Only 82,000 miles.

...simple answer...NO

However, you could try a fluid-N-flush...maybe two of them w/about 100 to 500 miles run between them. You could also add some trans specialized fluids like Resolve...etc.

I did this w/1 fluid-N-flush last spring. My OD would slip around 43 mph and I would have to do the hand shift back to little D. The gas mileage is not great normally....even less w/3rd gear OD...!!!

Anyway, after about 1000 to 1500 miles...the 'regular OD' started to work/run properly....
My odometer doesn't work because of the original Ford plastic gears on these components....!!!

It has failed again a few times but it is again working properly for the past 300 miles (est.)...

It's worth a shot.....
