I have a 2008 CVPI. Last summer, I had to replace the cooling fan. Spent $350. Now the car is exhibiting the same symptoms. No Fan even with AC on. I ran a jumper, the fan runs. Does Anyone know how to bypass the Module (relay?) between fan motor and power supply? I live in Las Vegas, and don't mind having the fan run on high all the time.

Maybe the engine is running cool enough that it doesn't need the fans. Check the coolant temp. It can be around 230 degrees if it's flowing properly. |

I read that if you put the AC on, the fan comes on automatically. Besides, it overheated when my wife sat idle with the AC on, and No matter what I did, I couldn't get that fan to run, even when the motor was clearly hot. I am fairly sure the relay (HI/LO) that is attached to the fan assy. even though I put it in last Sept. has gone again. I wish I knew how to test it. I am now considering putting in a lit rocker switch and running the fan manually. I live in a VERY hot environment 110+ in the summer. I tested the fan, and it runs when I run 12V straight from the battery. The relay would be another $110, and who knows how long it will last again? I really just need to know what amp fuse and guage wire plus the amp rating on the switch?
