My 2003 CVPI is throwing code 420, Rt catalytic converter. Can I replace it with an after market or do I need to get the $250 assembly? It's running good, gets 22mpg on the highway, I just can't pass inspection with it. |

Any of the aftermarket cats will work. I would make sure to get a hi-flo version to get installed. And replace both at the same time. Try www.SummitRacing.com or www.Jegs.com for the better prices. Also, you may take a shot at www.RockAuto.com for tons of OEM parts. You may find an OEM cat for about the price of the aftermarket at RockAuto.
A good muffler shop should be able to search to find a replacement that flows better than the original, or from another model that flows better.
