I then push the set button but no response. The car is exceptionally clean drive well shifts perfect, great A/C but the cruise aqin't working. Any suggestions?

There is no indicator light that I know of.
You may need new buttons, the dealership can test that for you, I'm not sure how that goes but I know they can do it.
They will charge you just to hook the car up to the computer though. |

Your car may or may not have an indicator light for the cruise control (mine doesn't), but if it does, it'll look like a speedometer with an arrow pointing to 30mph.
Have you tried setting it to test if it works, or do you know it works, and the indicator light not illuminating is the only problem?

I also own a 2006 P71, but it has no cruise control button that I know of...where is the button you're pressing for cruise control? |

Do you know if the car actually came with cruise or if the wheel is just there?

On the steering wheel like most other cars. For your year you just need the steering wheel with cruise control buttons and a trip to the dealer to activate it. |

I've read that cruise was disabled on some of the former cop cars and can be re-enabled by the dealership for a fee... I have to take my 08 in and have 'dark car' disabled so the dome lights go on when the doors are opened. |
