I have a 2001 CV that is having a/c issues. When I turn on the a/c it works fine until the cooling fan kicks in. The low preesure side of the a/c sustem drops unitl the compressor shuts off. it stays off until the fan cycles to off and then the a/c pressure bullds back up. Do I need a rechage or is there a problem with the cooling relay? |

It could potentially be the relay, looking at the wiring diagram for my 99 CV the fan is connected through the A/C relay.
But my money is on charging the system, when the fan kicks on it will cool the condenser in front of the radiator effectively reducing pressure in the system. As the gas warms back up with the fan off it expands again and kicks off the pressure switch to start the system back up. Another thing is that if you are just a bit low you can get a decent gauge and refill canisters at Walmart, Autozone, Orielley, etc... saves a bit of money over going to a service place. |

Thanks for the reply. Thats exaclty what I did. The car was down 1/2 pound of 134A. I added it and it works fine now. |
