PI is usually associated with the "Performance Improved" cylinder heads Ford introduced back in 1999 because of the complaints that the power levels on the 2v 4.6L engines.
I think you are talking about using P71, P73, or P74 parts. The P71 are Police Interceptor models. The P73 are the Sport models, and the P74 are the LX / LX Sport models.
The CV, GM, and TC are essentially the same vehicles. The differences are the level of luxury. Do your research online for the shocks you want and see what models it covers. IMHO I would make sure to use the shocks for the POLICE models of the CV . (I use the AC / Delco brand on mine for a better feel of the road.)
