My friend (lifelong Ford wrench) and myself have been having an on going \\'dispute\\' My car is a 1997 CVPI P71, retired state trooper\\\\\\'s pursuit. It has 15x6.5 wheels and full hubcaps. My pal says these are supposed to be 16\\'\\' and wider than 6.5\\'\\'. I say they are the originals as the 16s were used from 1998 and up. Who has the right answer? He also disputes because it doesn\\\\\\'t have electric fans, it\\\\\\'s not a P71, but that proof is in the VIN.

The P71 wheels may be 7" wide(the 16" wheels are), not sure about the 15" wheels though.

CVs had 15 inch by 6.5 inch AND 16 inch by 6.5 inch wheels from the factory up until 1998. Then Ford went to 16 inch wheels due to larger rotors up front

I added CAI, NICHE 19 X 8.5 " wheels with 245/45ZR 19 rubbers, and completely rebuilt the front end with poly bushings, Kooks headers, 2 1/4inch exhaust, TCI 2200-2400 rpm Stall converter

.PLANS:: engine upgrade, 5.4L 2v stroker, rebuild interior in leather w/ buckets, thinking about turbos
