I know this was not the best platform to start at performance but shurely there has to be some light on this style 4.6?

Not wanting a whole huge gain but something to bring up the power to the wheels would not hurt.

Best gains would be to swap to a PI engine, Ford started using PI engines(it stands for Performance Improved, not Police Interceptor) in 2001 for Panthers.
Anything that works for a Mustang 4.6L 2v will work for you as far as bolt ons.

hondaclf has it right. The car is for comfort more than performance, but stick a turbo or supercharger under the hood, and surprise everybody.

I added CAI, NICHE 19 X 8.5 " wheels with 245/45ZR 19 rubbers, and completely rebuilt the front end with poly bushings, Kooks headers, 2 1/4inch exhaust, TCI 2200-2400 rpm Stall converter

.PLANS:: engine upgrade, 5.4L 2v stroker, rebuild interior in leather w/ buckets, thinking about turbos

One things for sure its not slow. This is my 3rd town car and the one that I would like to keep.

I wouldve wanted a crown victoria the 98 and newer but ended up with this one.

It should not be any difference as performance parts from that of the same year crown victoria 93-95 would there? Same engine or is there a minor difference?
