Hey guys this is a interesting question. I have a 67 el camino project, and over in el camino land... they discontinued the quarter panels for 66 and 67, however I need quarters for mine. I got bored this winter and cut out the area behind the rear wheels, (because it was rusted.) I 've been looking all summer for some patches or anything that might work. I was wondering if a ranchero panel would possibly work. i know that the wheel openings are a bit different but they do however make a patch panel for that, and I can get the rest of my quarter all worked out but I really need the area behind the rear wheel. I started right below the body line... looking at some pictures the 68 thru 76 ranchero's could be pretty close. before I order a panel up, could someone measure their ranchero?
From the wheel opening to the end of the panel,
the height from the bottom to first significant body line (my el camino came with a chrome strip here which would help hide the weld)
If someone could measure their car/truck that would be a huge help as I am doing my own bodywork but lack expert skills and tools so I gota start somewhere
thanks |
