I had the exact same issue with my 93 5.0 F150. When I got the truck I could only use the rear tank but he gave me the pump for the front tank. I changed fuel filter, plugs and wires, fuel pressure regulator, played with the timing, put on a new exhaust manifold, cut the cat converter off, and nothing changed. I had given up. I had nothing better to do one day so I put the new fuel pump on the front tank and what do you know, runs like a champ now. I was getting fuel just not enough. But the confusion was how it would run great first thing in the morning and then I would be lucky to make it home from work after it sat all day. |
