I have a 2002 Ford Excursion Limited with standard side mirrors that have heat and the turn signal arrow incorporated into the mirror glass. I recently bought an enclosed 8 1/2 foot wide car trailer and want to install telescoping mirrors on my Excursion. My local Ford dealership said they could get me OEM and/or Aftermarket telescoping mirrors with heat but not with the turn signal in the glass. That's fine; I can live without the turn signal arrow. However, when the mirrors arrived they had a different connection plug than what my current standard mirrors have. The dealer says it won't work because Ford doesn't have an adaptor to convert the plugs. The issue is apparently the incorporated turn signal in the glass
Has anybody run into this same issue? If so, were you able to overcome it? Is there an Aftermarket set of mirrors that has the turn signal included in the glass? Shoot me an e-mail at JSWright@comcast.net if you can help.
