misfire question

while I was driving yesterday my 2000 P71. Stalled on me and wouldn't start again I replaced the crank shaft sensor , checked fuel pressure and checked spark... NOW HERE'S THE QUESTION what could cause cylinders. 1,4,5,and 8 to all take a shit at the same time??? Somebody please help

I'm not full aware of the engine on your 2K P71...however the cylinders you mention might be opposites of the timing order (fire stroke vs exhaust stroke)...???

Have you pulled the OBD2 codes....? If you don't have a scanner....go to your best auto parts store that can provide the service for 'free'....

That should give you a 'wealth of code info'.....

With the majority of new cars on the road using OBD II, you have to have a scanner to see what has happened. Or I should say what the "computer" thinks has happened. It is the only way to be able to troubleshoot and fix the problem. Sometimes something as simple as a corroded wire connector will screw-up the computer.

i did not pull the codes yet.. lets say the timing chain skipped a tooth or so..what would the symptoms be and what is the worst possible outcome
