Hope this is a simple answer. I will be towing a 28 foot TT that will weigh in at 6500# once fully loaded. I have in my grasp two Ex's. both a 2001,
2001 Ex v10 gasser 135k for $5500
2001 ex 7.3 L PSD 155k for $12500
My instict tells me to go v10 gasser as i have really read nothing bad about them and they are rock solid and wonderfull at towing.
We will try two to three trips per year roughly 3000 miles per trip?
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE the PSD as I have never owned a diesel but $7000 will by alot of gas and many many items to keep the wifey happy.
i am not concerned about the miles, I have two suburbans that have 320k on them and they run great.
thanks for any advice

Dave,
In these economic times, vote your wallet. I have a Diesel Ex... and it can tow a house, but the gas engines will easily tow what you need to tow brother...
And keepin the Mrs happy is the key to vehicle happiness

hey can anyone point me in the right dir. i'm getting a lousy ride. last year i installed rancho 9000xl's and was exspecting great things since i read that adj them to 3 on shock that my 2001 ford excursion would ride like a cadillac. i just want the same ride my friend is getting out of his 2003 ford f250. |
