Hello

I have a 72 capri 2.6Lvs with a bosch points distribotor. I have the motorcraft 5200 carb. Between the carb and intake manifold there is a induction manifold is what I believe it is called. If it isn't can someone let me know what it is called. It has ports in it and I am assuming it is for brake servo and transmission vaccume hookups. My question is for the vacuum advance/retard hookups. On the vacuum unit there are two hose hookups. One for the advance and one for the retard. The manual is not too clear on which is which and which goto what hookup on the carb and induction manifold? WHat is the part called that I need to attach to the hose between the dist and carb? Do I need one of these parts for both hoses? Please Help

Not sure what you are talking about above.

1. Distributor Vacuum should be attached to the side of the Carb.
2. Trans Vacuum should go to the back of the Carb.
3. Brake booster will go to the back side of the intake manifold.

Ok, now the Distributor Vacuum line most of the time go's to the top Vacuum Port of the Carb and the bottom get's a rubber plug put on it, The Trans Vacuum Line can be Attached to the back of the Carb, Intake or a Collector on the firewall of the vehicle, Now - Brake Booster Vacuum Line can be Attached to the Intake Manifold or a Collector on the firewall of the vehicle.
