Hi all, I am considering putting a manual tranny in my 09 interceptor. I am thinking about putting in a 5 speed out of a Mustang that fits the 4.6. My question though is does anyone know what I would have to do as far as computer programing? It is my understanding all engines are matched electronically with each tranny and each one has their own ID which is why when the police replace a blown engine they just swap out the whole assembly. On a side note I still don't understand how cops actually blow these engines. Anyway thanks for taking the time to read this, any and all help is much appreciated. Thank you.

I would suggest going to this site:

There is a go to guy(2004p71) who recently did a manual trans install on a 2009, he builds the pedal assemblies too.
