Hello,

I recently purchased a 72 capri 2.6L V6 and it came with the motorcraft 5200 carb. In between the carb and intake manifold is a somthing with various ports inside it. There are three various hose hook-ups to it. Is htis piece called an induction manifold? Does it create vacuum for the brake servo and auto tranny vacuum port and also the distributor vacuum retard port? Those are the three things i have hooled up to this thing. I have the distributor vacuum advance hooked up to the carb itself. This covers all the possibke place to hook anything up to the manifild. I am haveing a problem with applying brake paddle and the tranny is acting funny. I am thinking that the vacuummpressure that is needed to run these things is not being created by the manifild. CAn anyone help me wih this matter??
Thanks
