I bought a 89 ford probe with 101,000 miles, i will idol wit the mass airflow regulator disconected. When i put it into gear, it's an automatic, it will die. It will not start with the mass airflow regulator connected?

Also bought a code reader but can't find a connector for it. Someone said that you can't get code from this car.

Any ideas, thanks
