Hello I have a 1996 crown vic that I changed the oil pressure switch. When I screwed it in the part you screw it into broke inside now it lets oil go straight down through it.It almost looks like a pressure relief but I need to know if that is a separate part or is it part of the oil filter housing.
The oil filter and the pressure sender screw onto the oil filter adapter which is bolted to the block.
I have broken off an adapter in the pressure hole and gotten it out with an extractor so that may be an option.
you can certainly remove the filter adapter if you need to in order to remove the broken off part of the pressure sender or replace it if the actual adapter is broken, make sure you have an new gasket ready, there is a gasket between the adapter and the block(there is one for cars with an oil cooler and one without so make sure you get the right one)
