I have a 2003 Crown Victoria LX fully loaded with HPP package was a Administrator vehicle for Rice Lake, WI Government, I got it with 79,500 back in january 2019. it now has 86,500 miles i took two long trips one to utah and back 3k miles and Indiana and back 1200 miles.

Wondering if anyone else experienced the problems below:
When i shift it into reverse it goes into neutral and rolls, the only way i get reverse to work is i shift the column past reverse like over to drive and then back into reverse and it engages and goes into reverse.

Also I was driving the car and it would get stuck in 3rd gear and not shift into 4th this has only happened twice now in 6 months i had it. and i forced it to shift by shifting into 2nd gear then back to over drive and it shifted into 4th right away.
I tried pumping the accelerator or flooring it trying to get it to get rid of down shift and nothing happened so then i shifted it to 2nd and back to overdrive

I also notice the car does not unlock the doors when i put it into park is this normal?

Is this a transmission problem or a Shifting Column problem?

I also have a loud echoing clanking rattle when i go over small bumps i cant figure out where its from, it almost sounds like its from inside the driver door. maybe its suspension? i have no clue.

Any thoughts much appreciated thanks in advanced for any input!!
