My wife's Taurus has a problem with the Heater/AC Blower being inoperative. The problem has been intermittent but has now quit working completely. The blower fan will not work for any function that is selected with the control switch.
I have checked the fuses and relay in the box under the hood. These are in good order. I suspect that there is another relay for the blower besides the one under the hood. Is it under the dash? Which side and how hard is it to get to? Is there a chance that the blower motor has failed and if so how hard is it to replace? What is involved? Any help that can be offered is appreciated. |

Well I didn't get any replies to this post and not many people reading the posting. Got the problem fixed, it was the blower motor. This makes the second blower motor on my Ford vehicles that have failed. The first was on my 1992 Ranger. This being the second. |

My girlfriend is having the same problem. Is there a way i can test the motor?
Her blower would only go on intermittently, and the condition got worse and worse. I could get the motor to switch on by moving the selector switch back and forth, but it wouldn't stay on long.
Does this sound similar to your situation? Thanks in advance... |
