Just signed and I'm introducing myself, I'm from SE Mich and I am in the process of restoring a 1967 Ford Fairlane 500 2 dr Hardtop, Red on Red, 351 Windsor stroked out to 427 cuin via the handle 427 Windsor, it has a all steel Scat rotating assm. in a 69 Windsor block, Isky Billet roller cam with Comp Cams Roller rockers, Edelbrock Victor Junior Heads, Performer RPM Air Gap intake, Speed Demon 750 carb, 1 5/8 steped to 1 3/4 long tube headers 50 oz balance March pulleys. Body wise complete resto stripped to bare metal via sandblaster new floor pans, and all rust repaired POR 15 applied to the underside and engine bay and exterior painted Viper red all new rubber trim still undecided on trans have it set for aut overdrive but may just use a built C4 or go all the way with a toploader 9" rear with 3:89 gear in a 4 pinion trac loc in a nodular case. interior is not complted and want to do some custom work there also will keep all informed. Sounds like a great start -- can't wait to see the pics. A '67 Fairlane 2-door hardtop is my dream car next to my '67 Galaxie.
