I have a 1995 F-150 and I want a loud but emissions legal exhausts. I was thinking of a hi-flow cat and then a y pipe w/ 2.5 pipes. Is that a good idea? or do any of you have suggestions?

Gibson puts out a nice exhaust but not very loud, sounds like you need a borla or flowmaster set up to me.

Or you could just put orions mouth on the exhaust manifold. I hear he's loud enough as long as you give'm a can of wolfs brand chili each day!! LOL - Just kiddin orion, nice to see you on the board.

Hooker racing headers and dynomax i heard make a good combo for grunt sound but a 302 on flowmasters is always a guaranteed good sound. The flowmasters are only about $45 at discount auto here in Jacksonville FL.

Hope this helps.

Curious, which Hi-Flow system did you end up with? Flowmaster, Borla, Gibson? I'm looking to do the same with my F150 SuperCrew 5.4L. Would like to know

I used the catco high-flow cat. The only reason I got that one is because it used to be on my friends truck and he gave it to me for bout 30 bucks.
