I just wanted to pass this on to all those folks with the same problem I had. My speedometer worked but the odometer stopped a long time ago. I did a Google search on "Odometer Gear" and found this guys site. He makes and sells the gears himself using this really hard material. I don't see this ever breaking again. Best of all, he will sell the gears. You don't have to send your cluster in. He also will guarantee them forever. I didn't want to post until I installed them to really see what the deal was. Check it out. Even better for me, he is local.
