I need to find an intake that's not so pricey (K&N $200) I looked all over the web summit, jegs. Is their any intakes out for a 93 bronco or will I be destined to shell out the cash for the K&N . It's not that I'm that cheap, I'm cheap , but not that cheap, I was just looking to buy an intake and do a little work on my tranny.

K&N manufacturers air filters, not intakes. Intakes bolt onto the top of your engine. Air filters get installed in the air box or replace the airbox depending on their design.

For the Bronco, the $200 price tag sounds like you're considering the K&N filtercharger that replaces the airbox completely. You can settle for the standard K&N panel filter for about $50 that will install inside your existing airbox. The downside is that it doesn't provide as much flow as their filtercharger kit, but also doesn't become suseptible to getting wet as easily, particularly if you are into wheeling/mudding in deep areas.

If you go with the panel filter, you can take off the air silencer that attaches to the bottom side of the filter box and routes to the front of the grill for a little better air intake thorugh the airbox. The silencer is a bit small, sometimes accordian in shape, and theoretically reduces the flow of air with the twists and turns it makes.
