I have a 98 explorer with a v-6 motor x code. The fuel mileage has dropped at least 40%. I have replaced the thermostat, plugs and wires. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I had a Ford truck that got great mileage and then all of the sudden it got 100 miles less per tank. After a year of asking...I broke down out in the middle of nowhere. Anyway, when it was repaired it got great mileage again. FUEL INJECTORS
something to look in to.
