Hello, I own a 2000 Crown Vic and have a couple of electrical issues that recently started and hope someone knows what to check/look for. The power trunk release, wireless entry (using the key fob), power door locks (from any door), and one touch down driver window stopped working. I checked all the fuses under the dash and hood and they are good. I have good power to the door lock and power window switches at the drivers door. Power at the trunk release switch is weak, the test light glow is dim. I checked one ground location by the hood release latch and it's good. I also checked the wires in the trunk for cuts and they seemed good. For grins, I also replaced the key fob battery, no joy.
Thank you

I have an issue with my trunk release switch, I guess it would be the same thing you have. I can lock and unlock it, but when I press the button nothing happens. No sounds or anything. I can't pull the door off yet due to the issue I have with the door panel being screwed on with metal screws. But if I figure out my issue I might be able to throw something to you once I get in there. Good luck |
