Hi everyone,

I shorted the appropriate wire to ground but this is my first FORD. It's a 1995 F-150 2 door 4x4 chopped to 4 doors and now weighs 5700 lbs. A Centurion truck.

I got this pattern [about 2 seconds between] 3, [4 seconds], along 3 again, [6seconds] 1, [6 seconds] then flashes were faster,1,2 [2seconds between], 2,3 [2seconds between], 2,7 [2seconds between], 3,3 [2seconds between], 2,1 [2seconds between], 2,2 [2seconds between], 3,2 [2seconds between], 7.3 [2seconds between], 3,2.

Some articles I found said that with the engine off but key in run it would repeat the patern but I don't see it.

Do you think I have the correct codes of 33, 23, 27, 33, 21, 22, 32, 73 and 32?

Why would some codes be the same?

Am I doing something wrong?

My truck starting running a little rough. I replaced plugs, wires, cap and rotor. It did run better but that was in summer. I drove from Illinois to Oregon and up the coast to BC.

During the trip I noticed about 15% less mileage of 8-9 instead of 10 towing my 5th wheel RV. After I unhooked the RV but didn't drive it for weeks at a time, now it is around freezing and wet here and it is running very rough until over about 1800 RPMs. At highway speeds it seems fine other than worse gas mileage.

I lived in the country before so mostly fast driving but now in a more populated area, I really notice the problem. It has gotten worse too.

I really smell unburned gas but it gets a little better after it gets hot in 20-30 minutes.

I did find the #4 plug just slightly loose and the boot was melted from the wire coming off and thought there is the issue BUT it ran worse after reconncting the wire so I disconnected it.

Later I disguarded the boot, wire brushing the plug and reinstalling it making sure I didn't see a spark.

Now it runs almost as rough. All the other wires seem fine.

I guess I need the correct codes to start fixing this thing.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thank you for your time,
Levi

Opps, it is a 5.8 L, gas with a/c and automatic trans.

Never had problems until after the fuel pump had a short and the mechanic said it was fried to. Took him a long time to find the short located where the wiring bundles splits around the rear differential.

I didn't get the best feeling of confidence from him BUT he was nice, honest and very helpful.

Honda Civic 2009 Sedan or Ford Focus? or anyother car u think might be good around 15,000? Well, I am Planning to get a car and not sure which one to get? My budget is around 15,000- 16,000 $ If you guys can help me out a little bit i'd appreicate it. Thanks they have new models that have Best-In-Class MPG and are fun to drive (the Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, The Escape Hybrid, the Expedition, the Ranger, and the F-150). No car companies have gone out of business, GM and Chrysler took bailout money from the US, and went through bankruptcy restructuring, but Toyota (a Japanese company) took bailout money from the Japanese government, because they are in bad shape.
