I'm getting ready to start on my new toy! I purchased an '82 cougar II wagon in mint condition with 62,000 mi and a blown v6 engine for $100 bucks. I will no doubt need some help with the parts and such as I am going to install a 351c motor out of a 70 torino( I think) into this. I'm pretty sure, other than being longer, it is the exact same as the mustang (as far as the front frame and rear axle mounts).
* Would anyone be able to tell me where I can get the conversion kit (oil pan, headers, mounts) for this installation?
* Am I correct that the mustang suspension parts will fit on this wagon?
* I was considering swaping to a manual transmission so I can run a 6 speed tranny. Is this a good idea, or just stay with a c6? I would like to have a pretty good gear ratio, but be able to drive on the freeway also.(kinda like my 04 gt Mustang).
