I just bought a solid roller cam for my Cleveland. A buddy has a spare set of Competition Cams 838-16 (351 Windsor) lifters. According to the Crane Cams website, they're the same as the 840-16 (351 Cleveland) with the exception of the oil holes. The W oil holes are perpendicular to the axle vs. Parallel for the Cleveland.

Anyone have any idea how much difference this will really make? Could I modify the lifters to work with a Cleveland?

Thanks

Purchase the right lifers for the job you are going to do, it will make a differance.
