Hello, I once asked the forum if they knew what was wrong with a suburban starter once it got hot (from driving). And once it got hot, and you shutr the engine off, the starter would not turn the engine over until the starter cooled down some. the suggestion (by someone) was to buy a "heat shield" for the starter...to protect it from the intense heat of the nearby exhaust pipe. I was given a link, but cannot find it. I can't even find the suburban thread that I thought I had signed up for!
thanks so much!
