My Bronco 2 is nice, but it looks REALLY small. I want to get a lift and oversized tires. I'm going to get a sleek black paint job and a after market roof rack. I've got a 1200 watt amp and 2 15" subs in the back, a lift and big tires would make my wheelin package complete. How big of a lift and how big of tires should I get. Has anyone ever lifted a Bronco 2? And how much does it cost to get one and is it too hard to do it myself. Thankya! |

Cost is all a matter of what you want. If you want a good cheap trail rig setup then buy a 3" Body lift(about$100), 15x8 Steel wheels(about$120 for 4), and 31x10.5's MT's(about$500 for 4). Then remove your sway bars for more articulation. Bigger tires eat up power though so I hope you have 3.73 or 4.10 gears. I am going to 4.56's but I'm a little weird. I don't give a s**t about gas mileage. I also think that someday I will run 33's. Anywayz for about $750 you can probably get what your looking for. |

AHH! Thank you! I thought it would be at least 1000 dollars for the lift alone, but looks like i got lucky, i think i'll go with a 3" or a 4" prolly a 3. Does it cost extra for someome to put it on and where should I look? Who would put it on? |

Not to detract from this forum but http://www.therangerstation.com/ Has lots and lots of information pertaining to your type of vehicle. There are soooo many conversions and things you can do your pocketbook is really the limiting factor. I really like the SAS idea myself. Here's another link you might like. It gives you an idea as to how much lift/cutting is needed for the tires you are dreaming of. http://www.therangerstation.com/TireFitment.html NORM

Thanks alot, I'll take a look at it. I went to a distributor for ekeystone (www.key-stone.com) and he said a 6" lift on a bronco 2 is about 950 dollars. Not including shocks either. Plus about 1 day and a half of labor at 65 dollars an hour. RIPOFF! I'll talk to those guys about it. Danka |
