Hello,

I have a 2003 Crown Vic Police Package

Lately when I start the vehicle in the morning, or when the car sits for several hours without running the A/C starts to Blow hot for approx 10 - 15 minutes. then gets Ice Cold like Normal.. (Compressor and Lines under Hood are Cold to Touch and Condensation Buildup as well.) Had this vehicle for 3 years now and the A/C has ALWAYS been Cold and no problems until recently.

While Driving from Miami to Key West .. The A/C Temp. goes from "Cold" (Normal) to Warm / Humid / Muggy Air (Not Normal).. then after a short Period Back to "Cold" again for maybe 10 minutes.. then back to warm air and this continues the entire trip both ways.. local driving the Car's A/C stays colder a little bit longer but also switches back and forth from Cold to Hot / Warm Air.. when I sit Idle in park it stays COLD ...

I have read it could be the Blend Door ? (Which I know requires alot of labor with dash part removal, etc..)

Also possibly the Relay Switch might be bad ?

If it is the Blend Door can I just disconnect the arm and keep it in the COLD position forever as I NEVER USED or Needed the Heat the Entire time I have this vehicle since I am in Florida.

Due to the long Labor Day weekend I was just trying to troubleshoot my A/C issue(s) prior to bringing the vehicle into get serviced, so I know what to tell them or at least pin point it to a couple of possible issues.

Thank You in Advance for any help into this matter...
