How goes it? I just bought an 84 crown vic ltd, well I'm posting because yesterday my turn signals, flashers, and may brake lights all stopped working. Well the first thing I did was go to auto zone, they told me it was a flasher swapped it out and nothing, then they said to check the brake sensor swapped that and again nothing. The lights all turn on when I turn the head lights on but I'm starting to get a little annoyed any ideas would be helpful. I just don't want to pay $75 an hour to have a shop do 10 minutes of work, knowing the shops in Albuquerque they would charge for 2 hours just because they can. Also there is a little jerry rigging but it mostly looks stock, so colors would be helpful. Thanks for reading and for you're time.

We're assuming you did check the fuses right?

It is a problem sometimes to find electrical problems. Did you check the fuse in the fuse box? The most obvious sometimes is overlooked. With the turn signals and brake lights not working, this is the most obvious.

Have you checked the bulbs? Get a couple of new bulbs and try them out. I have seen all four bulbs go out at the same time.

Beyond this, all you can do is start to check wiring. Try this link to get to the Chilton manual online: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=147239 I know its a link to a link, but that's the easiest way to get to the online manual at Michigan State. Find the wiring diagram and slowly check components, then start checking wiring.

I have found on a couple of cars where the wiring connectors came undone, causing no lights to the rear of the car. I even had a Camero where I purposely rigged it to disconnect the rear ground to go into stealth mode at night. (Girl I was dating had a Daddy with a shotgun.)

Lots of luck.
