1996 Ford Bronco, Eddie Bauer model, 5.8L engine, 270,00~ miles.

I have an acquaintance that has suggested that I have the valves on my engine adjusted. I can't remember ever hearing this (except an engine with solid lifters). Is this necessary considering the milage that I have on the motor - still runs like a charm as far as I'm concerned, but I would like to keep it in good shape also.

Thanks,
