01 MGM LS was running with a misfire in the #6 cylinder from what shows up on the check engine light it would pull and surge around 50+ mph the new problem im having is my fault i was changing the oil an was unaware the oil filter ring was still stuck to the block i then traveled a round trip of 5 miles with out knowing i had no oil in the motor it still runs but loses power after running close to 20 minutes and has a knock on the right side of the motor would it be cheaper to invest in another motor or repair whatever is wrong with this one.[img]

With the Police Intercept style motor 300 is super easy to get to. Nice cold air intake and high flow cats with a good high flow pipe/muffler combo gets you most of the way there without any major changes (with a 99-02 PI motor you are starting at 239HP). With the 4 valve Mustang engine those mods should put you north of 310-320. Check out www.crownvic.net for some really easy builds.
