As the title states, I am currently driving a 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis. I initially bought it because I am still working on my 1963 Impala, and I needed a cheap car as I'm leaving the Army on the 6th of January. As it turns out though I am loving this car. I swear it's a couch on wheels, and it's reliable and tough. I bought it with 186,000 miles on it for $1200, and the odometer now reads 188221, but you'd never know it from the way it drives. The transmission, the engine, everything is super smooth. I get shit all the time for driving a big old RWD v8 (and even more shit for my Impala) but the truth is there's nothing like this car on the road anymore. It's built for cruising, and by god, that's what it does, with minimal fuss.
