I bought a computer from a 97 grand marquis had the same codes and everything as my old one but I wanted to know if I still had to flash it or does that year already come programed |

The ECU is already pre-flashed at the factory. If you are using the same model of ECU as was originally in the car (the CV, GM, and TC are all set the same) and the same model year, it's strictly a plug-and-play setup.
